Disney Repurposes Animation

This hilarious video shows how Disney has repurposed its animation. Some people have argued that this happened with films after Walt died (or as he was dying), but Disney directors have said in interviews that they repurposed animation throughout the company's history.

It gets really interesting at 1:03 where you see that the cat with flute in Robin Hood is the exact same cat as the one with the trumpet in Aristocats. Of course, we all know that the bears in Jungle Book and Robin Hood are the same. They're the same character design and feature the same voice!

So I think it would be possible to create a video 10 times this length if you wanted to go through all the animations.

It's also interesting to note that Disney did a lot of rotoscoping for the original animations in order to save time (it took a lot longer to get realistic animation without rotoscoping it).

T-Time with tED

Super random video where I grow wings, I dress like a pirate, I talk to myself (in at least three different ways), I dance, and animated: (1) Penguin with three legs. (2) Stick of bubblegum. (3) Bruce Willis Happy Meal. (4) Guy with head on fire. (5) Cursing fish. (6) And Girl Scout cookies (now with extra Girl Scout)!

It's funny. Not like "my dog died" kind of funny. But more like, "my dog died while choking on your cat" kind of funny! Check it out! And...

Enjoy!

Wall-E - Watchmen style

Watchmen & WALL-E Mashup Trailer

I decided to take a crack at what many have done for other films; and set the audio from Watchmen's epic IMAX teaser to scenes from one of my favourite films of all time. So sit back, and enoy WALL•E redone in Watchmen's style!

Oh, and the website is quite real... so if you're a fan of WALL•E, please join the forum.

Disney & Pixar own the video footage, and DC/Warner Bros. the audio... and this is the obligatory notice that this video was not made for profit; but merely to pay homage to a great film (and hopefully a second, if Watchmen turns out to be as epic as the trailers are).

Enjoy!

Microsoft published a game on a Nintendo System

Rare was bought by Microsoft. First Rare made Nintendo games and had someone else publish them (Nintendo and THQ). Last year, Microsoft published a game for Nintendo DS themselves, making it the first game Microsoft published for a Nintendo system.
