Miley's leaving the Disney Channel.
Why? She was in Bolt and has a few more movies coming up. So? No offense, but Hilary Duff left Disney too soon and she lost her status. Miley, don't make the same mistake. Play it safe. Give back to Disney for making you a star. We're not even sure if you can act yet.
Article:
LOS ANGELES - Miley Cyrus is saying goodbye to her Disney Channel show, “Hannah Montana,” a source has confirmed to Access Hollywood.
In news first reported by The New York Post, a source confirmed to Access that the show would start shooting its fourth and final season on Jan. 18. The source said the network does not know how many episodes it will shoot or when it would wrap, but noted there are enough new episodes to air through 2011.
“You never know in this business . . . but right now we’re scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes,” Disney Channel Worldwide’s Adam Bonnett, senior VP of Programming, told the Post.

=================
Miley should transition a little better away from Disney.
That's the mistake that Hilary Duff made, and now it's Hilary who? While Lindsay Lohan tried to hold onto the Disney deals as long as she could, she also tried to grow up to fast. And she better redefine herself or she'll disappear.
Same with Miley. She might be sick of Disney, but like you said, Disney made her, and more importantly, she's not an actress yet. She can't rush into it or she'll fail before she has a chance to succeed.

ReplyDeleteIm gonna miss Miley Cyrus.I love her I even watched her new episode Miley Leaving.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
ReplyDeleteIt's time for Miley Cyrus to part company with Dinsey. While she's taking a break from her music, she's got movies to film. When she resumes her music, we'll be talking about Miley as a country singer- she's done with pop. Disney does have a bad reputation and the infamous propensity of mistreating its stars, and Miley refuses to have anything further to do with that. I could see her signing with Disney's arch-rival, Warner Bros- that'll get Disney's attention, all right. Could anyone possibly see her doing a commercial promo on Cartoon Network? I do, and she'll be good at that. "Hannah Montana" will be no more and movies and her return to country music await Miley Cyrus- I wish her all the best.
ReplyDeleteAnony,
ReplyDeleteShe definitely has a music career, but I think she's divorcing Disney too soon. The attitude of "you treat me bad and so I'll teach you" is a poor attitude, and so far it's mostly ruined stars like Hilary and Haley Duff.
Miley isn't a movie star yet, and she shouldn't pretend she is. If she wants to be one, she should graduate into doing a movie deal with Disney (something Hilary messed up with and Lindsey found success in). I think Anne Hathaway is also a good example of giving Disney a shot to make more movies with her, but she never depended on Disney.
The fact is that Miley has a huge fan base watching her on Disney. If she walks away from that fan base, it's going to move on to Wizards and other shows. It won't likely graduate to watch her in adult, independent films.

I beg to disagree with you on your assessment. Disney needs to start treating its young stars with reapect. BTW, I'm mostly a Warner Bros. fan, but with Miley leaving Disney, I would love for her to come to Warner Bros. She doesn't need Disney- that's not what her career and life are about, she's a performer, and if one studio can't be respectful to its young stars, another studio will. When "Hannah Montana" is over, Miley is done with Disney and please, Warner Bros., bring the Cyrus family back into your fold and bring her in.
ReplyDeletei think miley is making a big mistake even though its her life miley is a beautiful talented young lady i think she should choose wait she wants
ReplyDeleteMiley is making no mistakes, whatsoever. Her life is not built around Disney and the studio doesn't control her, off set. I would love to see her come into the Warner Bros. fold and make a few movies and animated TV specials for that studio. These pro-Disney people need to get over themselves, because Miley isn't staying there, forever and she has the right to move on to other studios, especially Warner Bros. I would like to see Miley on Cartoon Network. Speaking of Cartoon Network, I recently checked CN's message boards, and ironically, she's a favorite among the CN viewing community. Musically speaking, Disney fans aren't going to like the fact that Miley Cyrus is going to be a successful country singer, once she resumes her music carer(she's not happy with pop, which is what Disney prefers). More power to Miley as she ends "Hannah Montana" and moves on from Disney. Please, Warner Bros., bring her in.
